they place flowers as well as stuffed animals. I can%26#039;t tell what it is due to the speeds.I%26#039;m just curious.

Why do people place flowers along the side of the highway?
It%26#039;s a memorial to someone who died in car accident on that spot.





Distracting and silly if you ask me...

Reply:It saddens me that so many people die in car crashes who didn%26#039;t have to. Like they didn%26#039;t wear their seat-belts in the backseat or they drove drunk or something.

Reply:As a general rule that is a makeshift memorial to someone who died on that spot. Usually as a direct cause of an automobile accident.





When my brother was killed on PCH 10 years ago, the entire community came out to the spot where he was killed and laid flowers, pictures, stuffed animals and candles as a way to morn his loss.
