I want flowers that do well in direct sun.

What type of annual flowers bloom all summer long?
Then you%26#039;ll love zennia%26#039;s! They can withstand all different soils, heats, moistures (they can really handle drought)and they LOVE direct sun. They are bright, have many different colors to choose from, come in different heights depending on your needs, make excellent cut flowers that will last up to 2 weeks in a vase, bloom from late spring until early fall and can be grown from seed right up until it gets really hot. Now I ask you, what more could you want from a flower?! LOL
Reply:i have some my mom-in-law just gave me. begonias, i think. bc i kill everthing. they have to be in direct sun and you don%26#039;t have to water them much. ask at home depot..they come in pink, red and white and the middles are yellow (just in case i got the name wrong).
Reply:Vincas and verbena like the hot sun.
Reply:Marigolds and Petunias.
Reply:Geraniums, Zinnias and Marigolds all bloom all summer and are easy to care for
Reply:In direct sunlight, the flowers that will do well are lantana, geraniums, petunias, marigolds, zinnias (especially the %26quot;profusion%26quot; variety), gerbera daisy, salvia, million bells, nasturtium, ageratum, amaranth, celosia, cosmos, dahlias (you can dig dahlias up and replant them the next year, if you like), heliotrope, portulaca, and verbena. Some of these will do better in certain areas of the country, check with your local garden center, they can (and should if they want to stay in business) help answer any questions you may have.
Reply:Most annuals bloom all summer long. But Impatiens, petunias, and marigolds seem to do it abundantly. It%26#039;s perennials that bloom and die off until next year, such as Tulips, Hyacinths and Daffodils.
Reply:begonias are great in full sun, petunias do well too.

marigolds love full sun and so do sedum
Reply:Impatiens or %26quot;Buzy Lizzie%26quot; as they are commonly called are great.Masses of flowers all summer and plants will fill out really well. You will need to keep well watered and provide a feed at least once. They are really easy to grow.
Reply:tuberous begonia, most begonias - geraniums, petunias, also impatients but not in sun
Reply:petunia pansy Geranium Centaurea Iris

Rhododendron Centaurea
Reply:I think there is a flower/flowering shrub called mallow lavateria (Not 100% sure of correct spelling sorry!) which is lovely in the summer and seems to survive all weather conditions.
