What is the point of fake flowers?

I mean they are pretty-ish. but they get dusty! I don%26#039;t have time to dust the nice things in my house much less stupid fake flowers. and lets face it if i am going to dust i might as well just water.





fake flowers.... rediculous waste of money or easy way for people who are less nurturing than a desert to keep plants?

What is the point of fake flowers?
I think they are good for the graveyard.... Don%26#039;t have to replace them as much as real flowers..... @

Reply:Honestly, I really don%26#039;t know. I suppose they%26#039;re nice to look at for a while, but as you said they do get dusty. Then you can wash them, but all-in-all they%26#039;re just fake.





Then again, they%26#039;re just decoration. Some people like some kinds of decoration, other people don%26#039;t. Some people like paintings and sculptures, others like flowers and plants. It%26#039;s all a matter of personal preference.
Reply:I love them when they are arranged professionally. They add color to a room and give a designer look when they enhance the colors of your drapes, sofa, etc. The person that does my arrangements is extremely talented. He does all the arrangement for photo shots for FTD Florist. He is highly regarded in the Boston area. He also does live arrangements for the Museum of Fine Arts. Also these arrangements add dimension and have a nice textural look. . I have heard that professional Interior Decorators think they are a no no, but the newer silks can fool a lot of people. Reply:I KILL PLANTS WITH TLC Fake works for me. No dirt required, no fertilizer,no water, no beer, they hang well in the closet....in the basement....in the garage(where it freezes). Dusting, whats that? If I wait long enough, they will get a coat of dust on them on their own.

Reply:I use fake plants in my house because all the one%26#039;s I like are poisounous to my birds. The fake one%26#039;s afford me the ability to have the flowers I like without worrying that one of my birds are going to get into it and get sick/die. As for dusting them, I just hit them with some canned air and it pretty much cleans them up nicely.

Reply:Well we know you can%26#039;t always keep fresh ones fresh and they lose their color and start sagging. You have to keep buying them. So fake ones can take the place . They look nice and they stay the same color and shape! :)

They are definitely for the low-maintenance people, because these people are never around to water their flowers, so, had they chose to plant real ones, they would die. Not to mention, some people don%26#039;t like the work!

some flowers start smelling extremely bad, and they could have little bugs in them

Reply:I agree with the annoying thing about having to dust them. but i can see where people would see a point in getting them. You dont have to water them, they won%26#039;t wither and start to look like crap. and its an easy way to have pretty decorations without having to constantly change it because the flowers die.
